Everyone has a story, here is part of mine...
It was January 2012, a life-changing year.

I had already been on somewhat of a wellness journey for 2 years when my husband and I decided we wanted to start trying for a baby. A couple of months into kicking the birth control to the curb, we both experienced the death of a grandparent in February + March. In an attempt to be closer to family, we packed up our belongings in April and said farewell to our little college town.

Shortly after the move, we lost our dog, Bit-bit to cardiovascular disease and my dad moved in with us to focus on his health. Little did we know, 2 weeks later, he would face his 3rd cancer battle and we would become his primary caretakers. June prompted his emergency lung surgery and in July we concentrated on healing and strengthening his immune system for the upcoming treatment.

That August, my dad started concurrent radiation and chemotherapy for stage four lung cancer for 8 continuous weeks. I vividly remember hearing the Oncologist tell my dad that since this cancer was aggressive, so would the treatment and he hoped my dad was strong enough to survive it.

I dropped my head, tears flowed like a faucet onto the notebook that was laying in my lap. From that moment on, I prepared for battle. I sat in that chemo room for 8 weeks praying, supporting my dad + observing people come and go with their big macs and sugar-filled treats.

I was determined to keep my dad alive, so I started learning as much as I could on holistic + clean living, ways to lower cancer risk + natural ways to reduce tumor growth. That's when we were introduced to essential oils + using aromatherapy for therapeutic purposes.

The treatment came + went, with little success, and sadly they told us there wasn't anything else they could do for my dad. So we prayed for a miracle and continued to incorporate "crunchy" habits into our lives. Finally, that October we found out we were pregnant but the celebration was short-lived as I suffered a miscarriage a couple of weeks later.

To say I was an emotional wreck was an understatement. I was completely overwhelmed, stressed, and struggling with my own health challenges. Even so, we continued our fertility journey with more intent for the next year with no success.

Then, in January 2014, I attended a 48-Day Transformation seminar hosted by the Naturopath I had an appointment with the following month. She helped me identify areas of improvement and I allowed myself to heal. I made lifestyle changes that drastically improved my health, which ultimately enhanced my fertility... and 6 months later I was PREGNANT! I went on to have 2 wonderful pregnancies, 2 natural births without any meds, and breastfed both babes like a champ for 28+ months!

After learning how common it is for women to struggle with infertility, I knew I wanted to serve this community in some way. I thought, there have to be other women out there, who are feeling unbalanced, on a journey pursuing natural fertility, and need support, just like I did.

And ….here we are.

I recently dove into the Oola framework designed to help find balance in this unbalanced world and took the leap to be a Certified Oola Life Coach to maximize the way I am able to serve other women. I am beyond humbled and grateful to teach you, encourage you and support you. My mission is to help 5,000 women over the next 5 years and beyond to find balance in all areas of their lives, so that they can live out their purpose and their dreams, especially if that dream is to be a mom.

If this sounds like you--welcome. You are in the right place.
