Peace of Mind at Enrollment Time: You STILL Have a Choice in Oklahoma

This is always a topic up for discussion. As usual, a mama reached out to me asking about exemptions for the upcoming school year, and I knew it was time to revisit this critical topic... again.

As enrollment season rolls around, I want you to be informed, empowered, and reminded that in Oklahoma, immunizations are NOT mandatory for school. That includes public, private, and charter schools.

Oklahoma Recognizes Three Legal Exemptions:
  • Medical
  • Religious
  • Personal/Philosophical
how many shots are legally required for your child to attend school in Oklahoma?

Zero.

Whether your child is considered "up-to-date" and you're choosing to stop, or you've delayed or declined certain vaccines altogether — you have the right, protected by state law, to opt out.

Do Not Let Fear, Pressure, or Misinformation Dictate Your Decisions

You might receive strongly worded emails, printed packets from the school nurse, or even a lecture at your doctor’s office. I’ve been there.

Let me be clear:
  • You do not have to justify your decision.
  • You do not have to argue or explain your beliefs.
  • You do not have to comply out of guilt, fear, or intimidation.
You only need to complete the state’s exemption form and submit it to your school. That’s it.

Sample Exemption Language:
If your school or provider requests a written statement in addition to the form, here are lawful, respectful ways to communicate your choice:

Personal/Philosophical Exemption

“After thoughtful research and consideration, I am choosing to decline vaccinations for my child based on personal beliefs. I am exercising my right under Oklahoma law to file a personal exemption.”

Religious Exemption

“Vaccination is in conflict with our sincerely held religious beliefs. As such, we are claiming a religious exemption as allowed by Oklahoma state law.”

Medical Exemption

(This requires a physician’s signature.)
“Due to medical reasons, my child should not receive one or more vaccinations. A licensed physician has provided documentation, and we are filing a medical exemption in accordance with state law.”

Resources to Get You Started

This Is Bigger Than One School Year

We are seeing a growing trend of mandates being tied to basic rights—school attendance, employment, public access, and more.

It started with “just a few” required vaccines, but there are hundreds more in development. At what point do we draw the line? Which ones will you say yes to? And which will be too many?

You deserve to make that decision for yourself and your children without coercion.

Let me say this clearly:
No government, school district, or employer should have the authority to force a medical procedure on you or your child.

Stand Up. Speak Out. Protect Your Rights.

If you’re feeling alone in this, I want you to know—you’re not. There are more of us medical freedom advocates than you might think. More and more people as a collective are waking up each day.

When we stand firm, stay informed, and refuse to comply with what goes against our convictions, we preserve freedom—not just for our families, but for the next generation.

If you need support, guidance, or resources—reach out. I can point you toward research, books, documentaries, and trusted experts in this field.
