You Are More Than Just a Mom
You are more than just a mom. You have skills, knowledge, and experience that can be tapped into and used to become an entrepreneur. Don't let anyone tell you (including yourself) that being a stay-at-home mom means you have to give up your dreams of starting your own business or you shouldn't pursue something that sets your heart on fire. With a little creativity and hard work, you can make those dreams a reality!

So, you're a stay-at-home mom and have the desire to start your own business. You've always had the entrepreneurial itch or maybe you've recently been downsized from your corporate job and realized that now is the perfect time to take the plunge. Whatever your reason for wanting to start a business, know that you are not alone. According to a recent report by Forbes, nearly 60% of businesses in the US are started by women!

And with the rise of technology and the growing popularity of platforms like Etsy and Shopify, it has never been easier for stay-at-home moms to get their businesses off the ground.

So, what kind of business should you start?

That's a question only you can answer, but here are a few ideas to get your wheels turning:

  • Tap into affiliate marketing or social selling -- simply share links of items that you love
  • Create digital resources that will help your ideal client solve a problem or save time
  • Offer your services to help coach, guide, or mentor others in your specific niche
  • Partner with a network marketing company whose products you love and use daily
  • Become a virtual assistant, consultant, or social media manager
  • Begin offering freelance writing, editing, or design services
  • Open an online store selling products related to your hobbies or interests
  • Use your talents as a baker, photographer, or musician to create custom gifts or experiences for others
  • Start an online boutique featuring handcrafted items or vintage finds
  • Start a blog or YouTube channel dedicated to motherhood, parenting tips, or homemaking hacks
    • Whatever knowledge or skills you have experience in is a good place to start.
 The possibilities are endless!
And remember, there is no shame in starting small. You can always scale your business up as it grows. The important thing is that you take that first step and begin pursuing your entrepreneurial dream!

So, there you have it! This is your reminder that YOU are more than just a mom - you can be an entrepreneur too! If you have been thinking about starting your own business but haven't taken the leap yet, I hope this post has inspired you to do so. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible! So what are you waiting for? Get out there and make your entrepreneurial dreams come true!

About Brandi

I’m Brandi... a designer, wellness advocate, and conscious caregiver.

But more than anything, I’m someone who understands what it feels like to hold a lot… to care deeply for others… and to realize somewhere along the way, you need support too. My work is rooted in real-life experiences that have shaped both how I live and how I serve.

Conscious Caregiving
After walking through my dad’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis, I experienced firsthand the emotional, physical, and mental weight that caregiving can carry. But I also experienced something else, what it looks like to approach care with intention, support the body in natural ways, and create space for presence in the middle of uncertainty.

Through that journey, my dad was able to beat his initial diagnosis in 2014, and we were given 12 more years with him before he passed in February 2026. That time shaped me in ways I’m still uncovering—and it’s what led me to create a space for caregivers who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure where to begin.

I now share simple tools, gentle guidance, and real-life perspective to help you move from panic to peace—without losing yourself in the process.

Holistic Health & Natural Living
During that same season, I was also navigating my own health challenges—walking through two and a half years of infertility.

After making intentional shifts—supporting my gut, balancing hormones, reducing toxins in our home, and working with a naturopath... I was able to conceive naturally, without medical intervention (praise God).

That experience changed everything for me.

It deepened my belief in supporting the body, simplified the way I approach wellness, and is why I love sharing natural living in a way that feels approachable, not overwhelming.

Alongside this, I help women—especially in the holistic health and wellness space—bring their ideas to life online.

Whether you're starting from scratch or refining what you’ve built, I design simple, aligned websites and systems that reflect who you are and support the way you want to serve.

At the heart of it all, my work is about clarity, simplicity, and creating something that truly supports your life—not overwhelms it.
