How I Schedule My Day as a Mom & Solo-Entrepreneur
I'm often asked, “How do you schedule your day?” It’s such a common question, and honestly, it’s one I used to struggle with myself. I want to start by saying this upfront: I’m not perfect, and I’m far from mastering it.

Like everyone else, I have days that don’t go as planned, when productivity feels out of reach, or when life throws a curveball that disrupts even the best-laid plans. But here’s the good news—I’ve made so much progress since I first started. It’s been a journey of trial and error, learning what works for me and what doesn’t, and adapting as my seasons of life and business have changed.

Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom juggling nap schedules or a full-time entrepreneur building your dream, finding a system that works for you can make all the difference. Today, I want to share what’s working for me right now. I hope that it inspires you to take control of your own schedule and feel empowered to create a routine that supports both your goals and your life.

The Early Days: Fitting Work into Pockets of Time

When I was a stay-at-home mom navigating the chaos of nursing, nap schedules, and keeping up with the house, my “work schedule” was anything but structured. I was squeezing work into every tiny pocket of time I could find. Back then, I was focused on making my network marketing company my main gig.

Eventually, I realized I needed to build a personal brand—offering my own products and services while still sharing the products I love on the side. Letting go of that pressure was a turning point. Once I started pursuing my passions, something shifted, and over time, I made pivots that led me to where I am today—running a design business that helps entrepreneurs create a beautiful online space to show up with confidence.

Finding Structure in a New Season

When my son started Pre-K, I finally had the freedom to focus on what I wanted to do. That meant setting boundaries and prioritizing time for myself and my business. For a while, I was so wrapped up in client design work that I neglected my own growth. I was managing four clients at once and charging way below my worth.

That season taught me a valuable lesson: don’t underestimate the value of your time and don’t be afraid to charge for it.
I also learned the importance of scheduling time to work on my own business—not just my clients’ projects. This is something I do every single day now.

My Current Schedule

Here’s how I’ve structured my week:
  • Monday: My business (content creation, admin tasks, personal growth projects)
  • Tuesday – Thursday: Client design work
  • Friday: Flex day (wrapping up client work, volunteering, appointments, or personal projects)
Since I need to be at the bus stop four times a day, my schedule is flexible but guided by this structure:

Morning Routine
  • 8:30–9:00 AM: Make the bed, clean up the kitchen, tidy the house, and/or get ready for the day (sometimes in jammies—no shame!).
Work Block
  • 9:00–10:00 AM: Emails, social media, and messages.
  • 10:00 AM–2:30 PM: Focused work time with breaks as needed.
Afternoon Routine
  • 3:00–4:00 PM: After the bus stop, I spend time with my daughter, help with homework, and catch up on housework or lingering tasks.
Once the 4:00 PM bus stop is done, my workday is essentially over. Occasionally, I’ll join a weeknight Zoom, but I aim to keep my evenings free.

In total, I have about 25 hours a week to dedicate to clients and my business.

Tips for Structuring Your Day

  1. Create Clear Boundaries: Protect your work hours and don’t overcommit.
  2. Prioritize Your Own Business: Make time for your growth daily.
  3. Only Say Yes to What Aligns: Save your energy for full-body YES opportunities.
  4. Streamline & Automate: Use tools and systems to free up more time.
Whether you’re navigating the early days of parenthood or building a business with more time flexibility, remember that progress is key. It’s not about perfection.

Conscious Caregiving
After walking through my dad’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis, I experienced firsthand the emotional, physical, and mental weight that caregiving can carry. But I also experienced something else, what it looks like to approach care with intention, support the body in natural ways, and create space for presence in the middle of uncertainty.

Through that journey, my dad was able to beat his initial diagnosis in 2014, and we were given 12 more years with him before he passed in February 2026. That time shaped me in ways I’m still uncovering—and it’s what led me to create a space for caregivers who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure where to begin.

I now share simple tools, gentle guidance, and real-life perspective to help you move from panic to peace—without losing yourself in the process.

Holistic Health & Natural Living
During that same season, I was also navigating my own health challenges—walking through two and a half years of infertility.

After making intentional shifts—supporting my gut, balancing hormones, reducing toxins in our home, and working with a naturopath... I was able to conceive naturally, without medical intervention (praise God).

That experience changed everything for me.

It deepened my belief in supporting the body, simplified the way I approach wellness, and is why I love sharing natural living in a way that feels approachable, not overwhelming.
